Find Email Address Of Orkut Friends

Orkut has no such options which allow you to see any of yours friends email address in there profile as well as in yours friends contact list due to some privacy policy, so it creates problem for a new orkut user to see the email address of his friends in orkut .But now we are able to retrieve all ours friends email address simply by following few steps mention as under :-

1. Retrieve orkut email address of your friends by navigating to Show Friend page by clicking Friends Link which is at the top of the page.

2. At the rightside of that page, which is just below Manage Contacts click Export Contacts which enables you to download all yours friends email address in .csv format directly to your computer.

3 .This Process enables you view all your friends details on your Desktop with excel.

Chat with friends online in Orkut

Orkut has introduced a new feature which allows you to view and chat with your orkut friends who are also online.

I am sure a lot of you have notice this features. This idea was basically copied from facebook.

Chat in Orkut without google account

Most of you must have noticed that Google Talk was not available for chatting on Orkut for people who did not have a Gmail account. Thankfully, this will not be a hindrance for Orkut users any more.

Now, Google’s chat feature is being enabled for all Orkut users, irrespective of whether they have a Gmail ID or not. You will be able to use your existing email address as your user name and chat on the Google Talk network without any hassles.

This is still work in progress, so if you do not see this feature enabled for you yet, give it a few more days, it must be on its way into your account, for sure.

As a security measure, you will be required to do a simple email verification in order to use this feature.

How To Disable Google Talk Popup Chat Windows in Orkut

Sometime back Orkut added complete support for Google-Talk popup chat windows. This is different than earlier GoogleTalk integration where your Orkut friends gets added to Google Talk chat list automatically.

This recent integration opens all active Google Talk chat windows when you move from one Orkut window to another Orkut window seamlessly. This integration also works while switching between Gmail and Orkut.

I personally find this very annoying as I keep open Gmail all the time and prefer to use Gmail chat version of Google Talk. Everytime I open an Orkut page, I have to close these annoying popup chat windows. So I wanted a way out where I can disable these popup chat windows and still have my all Orkut friends get added to Google Talk friend-list automatically.

Solution:

Disabling these popup chats on Orkut is just a click away.

Simply set your Google Talk status on Orkut as offline. This will not affect your status on Gmail and elsewhere.

2. Click on friends on the top navigation bar.
3. On the bottom right-side you will find ‘Export Contacts’ button

Get Orkut Members email

Navigate to the profile page of the member you wish to know the email address.
Add that person as a friend.
Now navigate to your friends page.
On the right hand side, you will find a option to export contacts.
Choose Export Contacts Option.
Fill in the Word Verification on the Next Page.
You will be prompted to download the contacts.csv file.
Once you have downloaded the file, open it in Microsoft Excel or any other compatible software.
You will see all the email addresses including those which have not yet accepted your friend requests but have recieved your friend request.

Here are some of the cool orkut tips & tricks that are popular

1. Knowing a person email id in Orkut.

Ignore the person in orkut you want to know the Email id.
Open your Gtalk with same account as for Orkut.
Go to Settings -> Blocked. in gtalk
You will see the email id of that person.

2. Write Anonymous Scraps to anyone at orkut

Create a fake account at orkut
Write the scraps to the person you want.
Delete the account and your scraps will become anonymous at orkut.

3. Finding those who has a crush on you in orkut.

Add the one you think might have crush on you.
If that person have already added you to their crush list , you will get an email.
delete all from your crush list.

4. Write a Blank Scrap to anyone in orkut.

Delete everything in the text box field.
Now holding “alt” key down press 0 1 7 3 one after the other from left to right.
That it..done
Click Post Scrap or Submit.

5. Writing your text in reverse order at orkut.

Type your text in the scrapbook.
Type & # 8 2 3 8 without spaces before the message.
Click Submit or Post scrap.

Updates are Helpful for finding that What yours friends are doing on orkut , Updates helps in retriving latest content from yours friends like Photos , Status Msg ,Video Updates etc .

Updates help in Creating a Touch from yours Friends Indirectly as you can track all the changes of yours friends without visiting there profile.

But all this can be controlled with the help of Setting ,If you dont want to show updates to yours Friends then Hide yours Updates via moving from Orkut Privacy Setting and TickMark Hide My Updates,If you dont want to See yours Updates Then Select “don’t show updates from my friends” in General Orkut Setting Page.

Hiding Few Important or Single updates -You can also hide individual updates from appearing on your friends’ homepages without disabling the whole feature. To hide a notification for a single update, simply follow these steps:

Go to the updates from your friends section of your homepage ,Click my updates at the bottom of the page.Click hide update next to the update you want to hide. This item will not be displayed in the updates section on your friends’ homepages.

For a quick way to access your updates section, click the updates button under your profile photo.
