So, provide this link to all your friends and play this Orkut prank with your pals. You can either say this is the worst profile link of Orkut and whenever he clicks on it, he will be redirected to his own profile. Now if you click on that link, you will get redirected to your own profile. This means whoever clicks the link will land on his own orkut profile page.

  1. Go to any orkut user’s profile page.
  2. Click on More option, it’s there just below Add as a friend option.
  3. From the more options select the Ignore User option and ignore him.
  4. Now open Gtalk and click on Settings.
  5. Now click on Blocked users.
  6. This will show you all your blocked contacts. And from this contacts you will get the email ID of that orkut user.

1. Remove your profile from Google search results

Most Orkut users are unaware of this fact that Google can index your Orkut profile and show in it’s search results. Now the whole world can see your profile on Google search results by just entering few of your details. Allowing Google to do this means you are exposing yourself before whole world.

You should restrict Google from indexing and following your profile. To remove your profile from Google search results, navigate to Settings >> Privacy and select Hide Information. You are done.

2. Allow friend requests from selected people only

Orkut is for developing relationships and hence many people join here to make new friends. Since not all are with good intentions, you should not allow unknown people to add you and view your personal informations such as scraps, photos, videos etc.

Provide email address to add as friend

You can restrict unknown people from sending friend requests by selecting one of three available options. You can either select to receive friend requests from friends of your friends, or from a selected region or from those people who is having your email ID. Select the best option for you.

3. Disable photo tagging option

If your friend is having one of your photos in his album, any of his friends can add a short identification batch AKA tag to that picture. Adding a tag to a picture means identifying a person from that photo and giving a link to his/her profile. When someone clicks on that tag, he will get redirected to your profile. This will expose your photos, even if you have locked your own photo album.

You can always disable photo tagging option by un ticking the Yes option under Privacy section. Doing this will keep your identity secure and protected.

4. Limit access to your profile

How to disable photo tagging on your orkut photos

1. Login to your Orkut profile.
2. Navigate to Setttings >> click on Privacy tab
3. The very first option in privacy tab is “enable photo tagging“. Uncheck this option.
4. Photo tagging option has been disabled on your profile.
5. You are done.

Now whenever someone will try to add a tag to your photos on Orkut, he will get a photo tagging disabled notification saying, “The friend that you are trying to tag has disabled photo tagging“.

Enter email associated with your Orkut profile. It will now show you the list of your friends who are not in your friends list.
If you find someone there who used to be in your list, but not there anymore, then they have removed you from his/her list.
